Vegetable tanned leather is not naturally water-resistant, so proper care is necessary. This will also maintain the luster and condition of the leather. Please note that this leather may show more marks, scuffs, or stains than other leathers, though conditioning will greatly mitigate these effects.
These boots are made from 6.5 oz Wickett & Craig English Bridle Leather. This tannery has been making leather the old fashioned way since 1867. Each side can take about six weeks to produce, making it a significantly longer production time than most leather on the market. The results speak for themselves, as this leather both looks and feels different than most boot leather.
