Pull Loop

A loop on the back at the collar to aid in pulling on the boot. In addition to

function, it can serve aesthetic purposes.

When to Consider a Pull Loop

  • It is recommended to get a pull loop on boots taller than six inches for ease of getting the boots on.
  • At six inches the pull loop can be helpful for pulling your boot on but can cause the bottom of pants to get hung up and sit on the pull loop.
  • When looking at a boot with a two-piece backstay.

Reasons to Maybe Not Get a Pull Loop

  • A boot without a pull loop sits under a casual pant better, especially skinnier pants.
  • Not compatible with boots that are three, four, or five inches tall.
  • Not compatible with a single piece backstay; it must be paired with a two-piece backstay
  • Not compatible with Wickett & Craig leathers due to the nature of the leather.
  • Not available on 3” or 4” boots.
