67- Classic Arch Sprung Toe: Optimum arch support and toe box depth. Similar to the 55 but has a taller toe box. This is the last that has made Nicks famous. A safety toe CANNOT be added to this last (see our safety series boots). Same last used in our legacy Ridgeline. 55 - Classic Arch Standard Toe: Excellent for those wanting good arch support and the ankle stability which is comes from being able to dig the heels into the ground. A safety toe can be added to this last (see our safety series boots). Same last used in our Ranger, Robert, Forester, Steel/Comp Toe boots). HNW - Moderate Arch Standard Toe: Low heel and lower arch for flatter feet that don't need arch support and either don't like logger heels or the logger heel interferes with work equipment. A safety toe can be added to this last (see our safety series boots). Same last used in our Traveler, Falcon, Fire Trooper, and other moderate arch boots.

Soft Toe: Recommended. Maximizes toe box comfort. Work leathers are plenty durable without any structure in the toe box. 9 out of 10 customers use a soft toe. Celastic Toe: Felt-like cloth infused with a hardening resin. Keeps the toe box from "sagging". Hold the toe shape and is "bump resistant". Some big toe interference can be expected during break-in.

430-mini: Shallower tread than the V100 but with oil-resistance. Excellent for those who want grip and durablilty, but don't need the deep lugs of the V100. 269 Westerner: Mini rib pattern. Most common "dress" sole. Doesn't track in mud or dirt. Dainite: Originally designed in 1910 by Harboro Rubber Company in the UK. The famous studded pattern was designed so that the sole does not attract or store dirt. V-Bar: Features a traditional chevron pattern which provides grip but is easy to clean. Tends to wear about the same as the 430-mini. Leather: Looks great and is light-weight, but offers no grip. Classic appeal, but lacks function.
