The two row toe cap looks sharp and has twice the strength of the single stitch pattern. No chance of curling around the place where you bend your shoes when you’re walking, lifting or pushing!

Causes the leather pucker inwards when the toe flexes while walking or kneeling. Next time I’ll pick regular toe.

The moc toe is a classic look at home in an office or work environment.

No my first pair of boots from Nick’s, but my first moc toe style from Nick’s. The orange predator leather looks great. Break-in has been pretty easy. Double stitching at the welt looks great.

The combination of a soft wedge sole coupled with the support of the leather footbed is perfect for a bigger guy working on solid surfaces most of the time.

This is the rare purchase I've made that exceeded my very strict expectations. The leather, the construction--the fact that a custom upper meant finally fitting my steep insteps--I am in awe.

Three Reason for the Four Row Tow Cap:
First, the four rows make your feet look smaller. The seam breaks up the length of your foot, making your giant clodhoppers look shorter and wider.
The toe cap isn’t just decorative; it adds a second layer of full grain leather between your toes and danger. It may not be steel, but it’s another stiff protective barrier.
Third, it adds character to your boot without the flash of wingtips. People my not notice the four-row cap on a conscious level, but it broadcasts the message that your boots are made with the attention to detail you don’t get from off-the-rack boots.

Don't get me wrong, because I like my boots. Both boots stitch down upper sole and outsole stitching is all over the place this time. When the day comes for a new boot sole remake, some places will need new stitching holes made. One boot has a lot of stitches in a small spot twice, where it was stitched over too many times. I have 5 Nicks boots in all and this is the worst sole stitching from the upper sole to the lower sole. That said, all stitching everywhere else is a straight and uniform shape which I usually see a few out of place, not this time.

Someone at Nicks suggested bellowed tongues. At the time I did not see an option for bellowed tongues. Kelsy H recommended getting bellowed tongues to me. As a work boot for me it turned out to be an option that has been beneficial to me. The tongues were stitched all the way up or gusseted and then corrected later. I do have holes in the lower tongues where they were pulled out to make the boots into bellowed tongues.

I usually get a rolled top but went with a padded collar for my everyday work boot. Another great choice. I picked Ember Wax Flesh leather for my next boots. I made a nice choice for my work boot as the leather go's. Trying expensive boots out with leather you never tried before can be a bit stressful. Ember Wax Flesh turns out is working rather nicely for me.

I have reached my limit in how many boots I have now. I have 8 boots now and Nicks made 5 of them. My other three boots were made in 15 6E. I did stretch out my Nicks boots only a little to fit perfectly.

I wanted a steel toe but settled for a composite toe instead. One size steel toe's do not fit all.

I liked W&C a little too much. I have five boots made with their leather.

I do not know when I'll need more boots but thank-you for making 5 boots for me.

Decided to medallion toe cap on a recent rebuild and they turned out great. Hats off and a huge high five to all the very skilled individuals behind the scenes. I still haven’t worn them out in the wild but they will look fabulous and turn heads when I wear them at an upcoming costume ball down the street from my house this spring.

I don't know why but I have always preferred Moc Toe over plain toe shoes and boots. The Nick's boots are very sturdy.
