After watching online the praise and glory about Nick's (Thank you Rose Anvil), I decided to order a pair for myself.



First out the box, they feel like a mob goon made them out of concrete. The break in period is not a spirit, it's a marathon that gets easier over time. The time being 80 to a 100 hours. Take it slow and give it time. It's worth it.



They are tough, durable, and still stylish pair of boots. Most surprising is how comfortable they become after the break in period. No other boot can go 14 hours straight of work like a pair of Nick's.



If you can afford it and have patience, it's the perfect boot for the job.

If I'm being honest, I'm not a big fan of the way people talk about nicks boots. It's hard to explain because there are a lot of people that get these boots because they great work boots. Then there's the people that get a new pair every six months even though they already have 8 pairs that are just barely broken in. I can't really judge because everyone has there hobbies and interests, I just think that nicks boots mostly makes utilitarian work and dress boots. The majority of their boots are meant for rough work. The heritage boots are made for a LOT of walking while still having long lasting comfort and able to take a polish. There really are only like twenty places in the US that make boots to this standard anymore, and that's the reason they are so expensive. However, boot and shoe makers used to be everywhere and not that long ago. Work boots of the same quality used to cost (and I'm not kidding just go look it up) $5 for a pair. This was just after WW2 when the US had most of the boot makers in America making boots for the military. The war was over but they were still manufacturing like crazy. Over the next forty years, quality leather boots hovered around $20-$60. I got this pair in the 1964 brown leather because they closely resembles the type of manufacturing that was going on back then. My grandfather had a pair that lasted him four decades. I've had mine for a year now, and they are broken in and feel perfect. The leather is still as tough as the day I got them, and the stitching has given an inch. If you're looking for work boots that stand up to the test of really rough work, these will get the job done in a way mall boots just can't match up to. They were my first pair so they were a little big--and I didn't want to wait another 18 weeks for another pair--but an extra pair of socks and they feel perfect. I'm looking at the heritage boots next so I have a pair for everyday wear. My end goal is to have four pair. The worker pro's I already have, another pair of work boots at some point, an everyday pair of casual boots from there heritage line, and then the nicest pair of boots they have when it comes time for my bestfriend to get married. I'm getting him a pair of the same boots, but that's still a long time from now. Anyways, if you need a pair of work boots and you're worried about the price, just remember these are higher quality and will last longer than mall boots. As long as you're not literally taking a saw to them they should last for years.

These boots changed my experience and quality of life in the workplace. Handmade is the only way to go for me. Safe tough as hell and comfortable as can possible be. Nicks Boots are best boots on the market!

I received them a few days ago and have been breaking them in around the house. They are built like a tank and my feet are feeling very protected. These boots are built for business, I'm very satisfied!

I've always had trouble finding a boot that fits my big wide feet. My true size is 13.5 EE and none of the big boot manufacturers make a boot that fits me properly. For years I had to wear boots that were a half size up. I can't express how awesome it is to have a nice snug fit that isn't too long or too short. First time in my life I've had proper footware.
