Just got my Aldert Moc Toe from Nick’s and they turned out fantastic. I ordered them on the Munson last in mahogany rough out. The toe room and overall comfort and build quality are awesome.
Great quality, thick leather. Exactly what I needed to replace my worn out kilties.
I really like the color, 2 of my 3 pairs of kilties were really nice, but the third pair just had really bad loose grain and they don't look good as a result.
2 pairs were really nice, but the third pair has a ton of loose grain that just made them not look good. Nick's might fix it if I ask them too, but who really wants to go through the hassle of that? I went woth the wickett and craig bridal tan and the color is nice, it's really orangey and should darken up nicely, it looks similar to the standard red wing oro moc toe leather.
What can I say? They’re kilties and they look great! I like using them to try out new leathers before I commit to a boot.
Excellent quality and color!
The leather continues to be high quality as my other Nick's boots. The color is not as dark brown as my other boots so it gives a nice change of pace. Picking leathers via the website can be tricky because of the lighting in the pictures and the monitor settings. I am currently wrestling with this as I look for leather on casual boots (non-workbook leather).
Maybe a basic work leather, but it’s perfect so far. Not too bad to break in either.
As My first pair of boots from Nick’s, they’re great. Most of the fit and finish is near perfect and I was surprised at how well they fit out of the box. My only gripe and the reason for the loss of the star is because the distance the heel stacks extend to the rear on the boots don’t match up. In fact, the right boot sticks out so far that it looks like a spur shelf! I understand that because they are done by hand, they won’t match up perfectly, but this seems like a big difference to me. Maybe I’m being nitpicky, but I’ve never had a pair of bootswith heels that extend so far to the rear.
I will be getting another pair before it’s time for a resole or rebuild that way I don’t have to go without a pair on my feet
Awesome product for work boots
Still workingon the break in processa couple months in, but good boots so far. Vibram mini lug is a nice sole for general work, in and out of vehicles, etc.
