Exchange pair came with a gab between heel & midsole. Customer Service did not respond on my request since 5 days. Disappointing.
Production time too long for exchange pair. Shipment was without problems
Insoles are insoles…. But I love the delta arch. I put them in a non-nicks pair and it hasthose feeling more like my actual Nicks. These are worth it! As a bonus, the leather seems to warm up faster and stay warmer. I have Raynauds, and this unintentional bonus has been a huge plus.
Superb little tote, not too big, leather is super thick, very very impressed with the workmanship on it. Especially for the price. Took maybe 12 weeks to arrive (from ordering) in the Cayman Islands including production. Easily carries a few benchplanes without trouble.
Wonderful. Arrived in Grand Cayman in a couple of weeks. Boom. Shipping was 70 bucks, bargain. Predator Natural is beautiful. Would recommend over the regular brakeman (and mister lou), if you want a lower profile engineer.
The boots are excellent. They are comfortable and look great. You can tell everything is hand made. Would definitely purchase again.
Hit them perfectly! Unfortunately my quick ship BPs did not last time although theyre great... the moc toes came flawless and im beating the piss out of them in my rotation
I had bought a pair of used nicks and wanted to try different kitties. I really like your boots, i have three pair plus you are making me a pair of nd1's. Some folks are not use to a real pair of boots, they like a lite boot that has to be replaces within a year or two. I desire quality and dependability. Keep up the great work.
the resole was great would definitely send my other pair back when they need it
The strider was my first Nick's Boot and first premium brand. I have been really impressed with the quality of the construction. The strider really is a zero drop. Break-in has been very easy with no pain spots. I got mine in the waxy commander wheat buck, and I have loved this leather. It has worn in so easy and shows great patina from the start. I have now ordered several more Nick's!
Always consistent. Not magic, but nice little bit of cushion for low height toe box.
Not what they used to be, but about the same thickness of the previous regular insole.
What a drastic change in a short amount of time from the first versions . Essentially the entire product has what appears to be lesser quality leather, thinner leather thickness, and the shape of the insert (arch support) is considerably more harsh. For once the lead times were not worth it.
Will put a good word out to other lineman. Buddy of mine Ryan Savage gave me info about you guys. Thanks for a solid boot.
Haven’t had them for very long (3 weeks worn everyday) but very short break in period, no white-bite, solid construction. PT hike anpproved. Already planning my next pair. I can’t say how long they will hold up during summer fire season but I am confident they will be worth it. Shrunken Bison with the Red X Lug is the way to go
Worst experience ever! Ordered. After ordering saw the ridiculous lead time Of 16 weeks. Called customer service to explain I ordered a pair of boots from a different boot maker and had to return within n 39 days in order to get a refund. Delta archwas ordered to see if it would work with boot. Customer service said they could request a rush. Never heard back in time and had to return boots. Then emailed customer service to complain about their inability to rush order for a simple piece of stamped leather. It’s no like I was requesting a rush for custom boots. Thy responded by asking if I would like to switch my order to a regular leather insole. When I responded NO,I want what I ordered I received a week later. Total incompetence. This should be a stock item. Not some B S about it taking a while to make. And let’s not even talk about the ridiculous price. $90 dollars). Jesus. That’s 1/5 the price of a pair of your boos for a piece of stamped leather with a steel shank sandwiched between. Should be a $20 item. So disappointing. I ordered cust boots from your company several years ago before you jumped the shark On your efforts to stay relevant you’ve lost your way as far as customer service goes andare more focused on coming up with too many models of boots. Stick to the basics and hire enough employees to keep ordersflowing in a timely manner.
The gift card was fine but navigating your site was confusing.
Boots are really nice. Just don’t feel like the price and time it takes to get them would have me buying them again. Picked a fast ship option and still took extended time due to not having leather in stock that was supposed to be and then was told there was issues getting there re stock. Absolutely this is just one person’s thoughts but just didn’t feel like all the years of hype I had to finally make the purchase was worth it.
I've only worn the full-length insole thus far, but it provides the fantastic arch support that Nick's is famous for in boots that have minimal arches,. and in the process greatly improving comfort.
That break-in process was brutal, but i expected it after reading the reviews. Once they got passed that process, these things are basically my new casual shoes. Literally feels like slippers. These got tested in wet conditions and the snow over the winter, my feet were both warm and dry. Definitely going to get a pair for my work
Good in-between leather that has more temper than typical heritage leathers like Horween’s Chromexel, Waxed Flesh or Seidel’s Domaine. That said, it’s not stiff enough for my needs as a work leather and is notably more supple than Nicks’ other 1964 leathers. I’ve two sets of Builder Pros built for casual use with this leather, but if I had to do it over again, I’d choose a proper work leather and deal with the break in. A good work leather is just unmatched for fit and support. I’ve not found it develops a lot of patina, but I do like the look.
