Phenomenal leather, both in terms of thickness, feel, and color. It's not often I find a brown that excites me, but this W&C "Antique" is quite unique! A big "Thank You" to Shuyler for selecting this specific leather for me, as he obviously knows my preferences/tastes, and I trusted him sight unseen. This pair was my first Traveler, and IDK what took me so long! The INSTANT comfort is off the charts and, as always the build quality is supreme! Thanks to the entire production crew for another job well done.

I ordered a pair five years ago and have been through 4 soles. Before I needed a rebuild, they are the best fitting boots I have ever had. I am an ironworker so I have put them through a lot from tying rebar to deck welding they are some of the most durable pair of boots I have own and I would and have recommended them to coworkers.

My first pair of Nick's. GREAT quality and craftsmanship. Lead time sucked. Break in sucked. ALL WORTH IT!! I wear them more than any of my other shoes combined b/c they're so comfortable. Almost 2 years old and soon up for a resole so I'm gonna miss em for however long that takes. Solution: 2 other pairs, different styles on the way.

I prefer the higher arch boots but lugs and heels are no good for stagehands who are constantly stepping on cables, wires, ladders, and stairs. The quick-ship predator orange was beautiful and started breaking in rapidly but I performed the beeswax treatment with a brush and a heat gun to make them last longer and water repellent for the motorcycle. This made the boots very stiff and the color turned to chocolate. I miss the comfiness but the new color doesn't show stains, abrasion resistance has improved, and it feels like my feet/ankles/shins are better protected. I can wear these all day and it makes a huge difference with my medical issues, but unlike my outdoor boots with the tall arches it still hurts to stand still in them for a long time. As long as I keep moving or sit down it's fine. It seems Nicks also started offering a blackout version which would be ideal for live theater work. The 2021 soles are not silent but definitely quiet enough.

I ordered a pair of 6 inch falcons from the ready to ship option and instead received a pair of travelers. It turned out to be a blessing for my feet. No complaints whatsoever!!! The craftsmanship and the fit were spot on and Nick’s customer service was always helpful and responsive to my calls and e-mails. Nice work Nick’s!

Picked up a pair of chocolate rough out ready to ship. I have about 120 hours in them. Breaking in great with only one semi hot spot after 10-11 hours or so of wearing. Great build quality. Pricey after wearing RW but I think we’ll worth the money. I’m so happy I ordered a pair of Prospectors!! Thanks Nick’s.
