Absolutely gorgeous boots!

Absolutely gorgeous boots! The Robert in Predator Orange gets my wife all worked up every time I wear them... Worth every penny.

After a month of wearing them to work almost every day (construction manager: 80% office, 20% walking a construction site), they have mostly broken and are very comfortable. The uppers are completely broke in and very supple. The hard veg tan insole still has a little ways to go before it's fully broke in. Same with the heal counter.

The only regret I have is not ordering a 1/2 size smaller and one tier narrower. I wear a 9.5EE in my Red Wing 1907 moc toes, and I ordered these in a 9.5E. they fit, but just barely. Luckily I prefer a roomy boot, but the toe box in these are so roomy could have easily gone with a 9D. The break in probably would have been worse, but I think the long term fit would be perfect. Oh well, if it ends up bothering me, I'll toss a thick veg tan insole in there and it'll be great. still completely happy with my purchase.

This was my first boot purchase from Nick’s. Wasn’t sure how I’d like the arch on the 55 last due to being told all my life that I had flat feet, but I didn’t know what I’d been missing out on. No heel slip, support where I never knew I needed it, no knee pain. These fit very well. I’ve gone through the tiers of boots starting at the $199 price point and a few others in between there and Nick’s. Spent a lot of money along the way on boots that got better as the pricing tier increased but if I’d pulled the trigger on a pair of Nick’s years ago I could’ve save time and money. Won’t be my last pair.

I love them. I knowingly ordered them slightly small, so I get a little hotspot from them, but am confident they’ll get better when they break in.

Perfect boots for daily wear

Perfect boots for daily wear, this boots felt excellent when they arrived and break in period was minimal, they get lots of compliments and they fit all of my clohtes!

PredatorOrange Rocks!

I’m extremely impressed with these boots. They have amazing arch support. Of course they are as rugged as you could ever want. Nicks is reliable that way. I ordered in Predator Orange and I love it. This is among my favorite boot leathers now. I wish I had tried it sooner.

Love the Robert. It is a classic everyday boot that always garners compliments, and in my opinion, goes with everything.
Have them in black and predator orange now, thinking about Pacific Waxed Flesh…

Sizing charts are off a bit but otherwise great boots

Well the only issue I have seen is the when you use the sizing tools given and see charts that list the length of the boots it seems a bit off. I could have went down a half size from what the site recommended, and they would have been great .

Perfect. This is my second Robert (the first in black). These are exactly what I expected from my first pair. Glad I found this version of the Nick's boots. More support than the builder pro. For me, definitely a next-level boot. Comfortable right out of the box, and will last longer than me.

A boot for the ages…

Love this boot. Dressy enough to go out for dinner, business enough for the office and tough enough to do work. Can’t wait for the patina to come through.
