After a lot of research and comparing many heritage boot makers, I finally chose Nick’s Boots—and it exceeded my expectations.

The craftsmanship is exceptional. Every stitch, every edge, and every detail reflects the pride that went into building this pair. The leather is absolutely beautiful, with a richness and character that you can appreciate the moment you open the box.

What impressed me the most was the fit. I ordered my BuilderPro HD on the ThurmanNW last, and it fits my wide forefoot incredibly well while still providing excellent support. It’s obvious that this boot was built with purpose and precision.

The communication throughout the process was excellent, and receiving a boot built exactly to my specifications made the wait completely worthwhile.

The best

Only problems were the color of weathersheild brown was quite a bit darker than the photo in the drop bar. Luckily I perfer darker and the end of the welt stitching towards the inside of the body was sticking up. Not a big deal since they were work boots but you asked for a review. I used the nicks sizing chart to pick my size, I wore my thick winter socks to measure and it put me at a 8D which was surprising as I normally wear a 9.5 E in my Redwings and Thursdays. My inner ankle knuckle hurts with these boots but skipping a hook solved that. After 3 weeks of work they are finally slip in comfortable and I love them. Im excited to get many years of use.

I have these in a 6” MS black roughout build with the moderate block heel (I also have a full height standard build pair n MS black).

These are among my daily driver rotation. Comfy and robust, they stand up to anything, and keep looking fantastic. Easy to walk or stand in, breathable in summer, warm with thick socks in winter. Style-wise, appropriate anywhere, from work to clubs to fine dining. My lifestyle is hard on footwear, and these don’t flinch a bit. Very pleased.

I cant dis the quality of the boot at all. The craftsmanship is amazing. But the time it takes to get the boot is rough and if you combine that with needing to get them sized differently it can easily take over a year to get your boot. I gave up and now only wear them on special occasions. I measured my foot with their specs and the first pair of boots diddnt fit at all. My 2nd pair of boots I cant fit if all the laces are in. With the laces out I can get them on but only with dress socks. Imagine if you actually wanted some insoles or padding in your boot..... I've just accepted the 700$ as a loss and moved on.... but the quality is amazing!!

I am very happy with these boots. I have several other pairs on the 55 last. This is my first hnw and I am pleased with the fit. The monarch leather is very nice as well. Excellent quality and not a stitch out of place. Well worth the wait.

I'd give 5 stars but it took 8 months to get a pair of builder pro quick ship.it wasn't to guick.

Tge boots have been doing very well. They are pretty comfortable and im breaking them in nicely so far.

I've waited for a bit before writing this...just so I could be completely honest and accurate about I say: These boots are TANKS! SOLID! The leather starts out a little stiff but break in nicely and get more comfortable every time I wear them. The arch is exactly where I need it to be and plenty of room in the toe box. When you lace them up, they hold your foot fast, no slipping or sliding, no blisters.

When I walked into the fitting room there was only one guy working the floor and about 8 of us trying to get fitted. I was initially a little nervous about his suggestions, but he NAILED it. I have shamefully forgotten his name, so no shout out - SO SORRY!

I'm currently saving up for a second pair.

They are everything I was hoping they would be. My wife thought they would be ugly but now admits they are cool as hell.

I received a pair of boots originally that was defective. I sent photo and video evidence of the defect and the customer service individual agreed that there was a defect. Upon receiving the boots back they changed there mind and decided they weren't going to exchange the boots as originally agreed and not only that, they decided that I would owe them more money if I wanted the boots back. After a month of them being disrespectful I finally got sent a new pair of boots that was also defective. I decided I'd just keep them regardless and that was a mistake, the first time that I wore them in the rain they began squeezing absurdly loudly. I oiled the sole as was recommended and it didn't help.

Build : 10/10 The quality of these boots is impressive. Leagues above the cheap company-issued work boots I used to wear on construction jobs, which would barely last me a few months. The sole and leather are at least twice as thick as anything Ive ever worn. With care I expect many years of use out of these.


Fit : 10/10. I had some apprehensions being fitted via brannock-sheet but it turned out perfect. I guess unless your feet are very special the regular boots lasts nicks use are fine.

Customer service : 10/10. I asked for several modifications on my order and all were answered and treated promptly.

Style : it’s a damn sexy boot. Brush the dirt off and they are a great for casual wear.



Overall I’m a happy customer. Next time I need a pair of boots it will be at Nicks.
