Our boots are known to run a half size down compared to popular mass-produced boot brands like Thorogood, Ariat, Thursday Boots, and others.
Length: Nicks Boots will fit a bit large compared to your mass-produced footwear. We recommend going 1/2 size down from your Brannock size.
Example: If you normally wear size 12D, we'd recommend a size 11.5D in your Nicks.
Width: In addition to length, consider the width of your feet when selecting boots. The most common width is a D width. We also have widths ranging from very narrow (B width) to very wide (FF) to fit virtually anyone!
Lasts/Boot Models: Sizing does not change from model to model no matter what last or foot shape they are made on. Here at Nicks you will want to choose the same size across all boot models.
HNW Last: Our low heel, moderate arch last. Boots built on the HNW last are going to feel most similar to other footwear you may own with minimal built-in arch support.
The Overlander, Americana, Moc Toe Wedge, and Falcon below are all built on the HNW last
Thurman55 Last: The traditional PNW arch supported the last shape with a more natural toe splay for improved comfort. The Thurman55 last has a built-in all-leather arch support that provides all-day comfort and reduces foot fatigue but may take a little bit longer to break in and get used to.
