Amazing out of the box. Cannot believe I have a boot the fits. Very happy with how theaw turned out.

Overall, the experience wasn’t that great. I spent a significant amount of money on custom order boots and unfortunately, by the end of the day, I didn’t actually get the boots I wanted the tongue color was wrong. The size is wrong. Three different times each time I got a new pair of boots. There was something different than the previous. I understand that they’re custom but it seems as though quality is up to the actual cobbler that’s doing the work so you’ll never get the same pair of boots twice overall the fit is OK. I think next time I’ll probably go with Whites or back to my trusty Red Wings, somewhat disappointed oh well. it’s just disappointing to me that I would order a pair of boots that would take close to two years to get. In the meantime I had to order another pair of boots from a reputable manufacturer just get me just to get me through to the pair of boots that I was waiting on and then at the end of the day they’re not 100% too bad

My son and I have the same Nicks boot size so in the past I let him wear any of my boots. I also let him just have a pair of Tankers I had made as he really likes the style. The Strider were the first pair I ordered especially for him. He thinks they are great, with the same size and fit as his Tankers, but noted the bison is softer and feels like it needs no real break in. Looking at them, I see no manufacturing defects, and the two boots are consistent in their appearance (occasionally, since they are handmade, one boot might have slight variance in appearance from the other). Overall, these boots are excellent and I'll continue to keep Nicks as my go to for handmade boots! Their choice of leathers and quality make the price reasonable for the product you receive.

These are my second pair of nicks boot. My first being a pair of builder pros that are a half size to big and never really felt right. So when I decided to order a pair of striders I was skeptical if nicks boots were right for me. I could not have been more wrong! These boots are perfect in every way. The break in period was almost non existent, and only took about 2 days of wearing them inside to loosen up and become comfortable.

When ordered it was supposed to be a through stitched soul, they then changed the specks and did not properly attach the soul and just glued it instead, now after one month of use I’m already getting delamination, if you make a boot ment to be used, glue alone is completely unacceptable.

My custom pair needed to be rushed mid-fire season. Nicks met the challenge and had mine ready in a week just in time for our next assignment in the Shasta. Steep country. Can’t lie breaking them in was rough but it always is. It was much easier with the Bison and these boots exceeded expectations and are exactly what I needed. Thank you guys.

Tried twice to get the boots to fit. Once using the printable size chart and the second with tape measure and customer rep in the phone. Had to wait 4 months each time. Ended up with boots too big. Not worth that wait if I’m paying that price.

Absolutely the most comfortable boot I’ve ever owned. Only have worn them for a couple of days and the pain in my lower back has gone down substantially. The build and fit is top notch like my other two pair of nick’s boots but the flat sole is a game changer.

Heres my first impressions about my order.
-This pair fits way better than expected out of the box and the Bison leather uppers are a very delicious touch with the oxblood color!, I believe my order was the "strider-zero drop" hiking boots with the flat outsole instead of the rugged outsole, maybe I confused my options? Not sure... 

I still can't complain too much, since this pair of boots are truly amazing. Thank you all who put hands on this pair. I hope my next order is exactly what I wanted.

Great boot! Comfortable enough out out of of the box for a PNW boot. I loved it so much I ordered 3. The only reason I gave it 4/5 was because the wrong outsole was put on 2 of the 3 making only one of the pairs zero drop. I decided against returning because the two pairs are beautiful enough and when it’s time for the resole, the last would allow for a zero drop outsole to be applied. It bothered me just enough to mention it here because I had several calls with Nick’s great customer service to make sure the outsole was right and I still got 2/3 of the wrong outsole.

The strider was my first Nick's Boot and first premium brand. I have been really impressed with the quality of the construction. The strider really is a zero drop. Break-in has been very easy with no pain spots. I got mine in the waxy commander wheat buck, and I have loved this leather. It has worn in so easy and shows great patina from the start. I have now ordered several more Nick's!

The strider is my favorite build!
