Waited 12 weeks just to receive defective boots with 2 nails coming out of the sole. Reached out to customer service which lagged to respond. I had to pay for the shipping label to return the boots to get repaired. I’m still waiting to hear an update about the boots being repaired.

Boots have been fantastic so far, Really comfortable and durable! Only reason it’s four stars instead of five is because of what happened with my boot order. I was over a month on my expected lead time reached out to customer service and was told there was a processing error, so my order was never actually started. I reached out again about another month later to check in and was told the same thing. There was a processing error order never started. This time they finally did make sure the order was started and expedited everything. I got them about 2 weeks after that. It took about 9 months, and had to reach out multiple times, but the boots are great! 👍

I like the moc toe pro boots however I have issues with the ordering process and the ability to ask questions and get answers. I realize that all of the information on the boots and the ordering process is out there somewhere but there is much I did not know about quick ship boots when I placed the order, and, this was third pair of Nicks Boots I have ordered. Due to past lessons I learned from my first two orders my concerns where to get a full length sock liner in the boots and full height leather piece that wraps the heel of the boot and a celastic toe. None of these were options to select when I placed the order on your site however, I was specifically told not too worry, after I place the order the boot builder will call me when my order goes into production and this would give me the opportunity to specify these things. It was one of the Nicks employee opinion that I would be able to specify these things for my order. I later learned I was S- out of luck because these options were not options for a quick ship boot. After all this I was told the quick ship moc toe pro has a leather insole rather a sock liner. I thought this sounded like a plus but it's not. The leather insole sucks because my sock drags the rough leather insole when I put the boots on and screws up my socks inside the boot and very uncomfortable and difficult to get my socks straightened out inside the boot versus having the smooth full length sock liner where my feet and socks slide right into the boot and remain comfortable. As it turned out I am happy with the leather heel wrap piece on the boots but it seems like I was just lucky because I was not able to confirm through customer service exactly what I was getting due to the quick ship option. If I asked customer service three questions regarding my order they would only ever answer one of three questions. The situation drug out the process and influenced me to roll the dice with the order rather than cancelling and placing a new order and waiting 20 weeks for build your own options. In addition I did not get the Trades-man discount on my order that I was pre-qualified to receive. The reason I did not get the discount was because I had two separate orders in my cart. I had two orders because I was struggling over two styles of boots that I wanted. The discount was applied to the first pair I added to my cart. When I cancelled that order it did not roll the discount over to my second option of boots. I notified customer service but nobody really cared. I really like Nicks Boots and realize that most of this is on me at the end of the day however the money that these boots cost I do feel that some of this information should be spelled out better and customer service should be well educated in the process and thorough when responding to questions. I am not a utube and social media kinda guy to retrieve all of this information and trusted the information I received on the phone from customer service that I would be able to specify more options to the builder once my order went into production. I was told I would receive a phone call from the builder to go over my order but when I received notification that my boots were entering production, I was informed that nobody was calling me to give me the option to clarify anything. My only options were to proceed or completely cancel and start over. I do like the boots but considering the money spent and the discount I did not get I know now that I should've gone with my first option of build your own boots that I put in my cart. I wouldve got the tradesman discount, full length sock liner, celastic toe, and other options.

I finally pulled the trigger on this purchase and have to say these boots are amazing! I own redwings, whites, jk and thorogoods being my least favorite even though they are ok. The Nick’s boots are definitely my favorite! I’m really impressed! Thanks to your team
