Excellent Boots-a Year Later

I purchased a pair of Hotshots last summer. I have worn them almost exclusively over the past year in many different environments while working as a wildland firefighter. My first pair has held up very well. I just purchased another pair in order to have a backup for the time I have to send in my first pair for a re-sole.

I would like to add that Nick's customer service is second to none. I have called them several times throughout the ordering process of both pair. When I ordered the second pair, I worked through the order with Nash. He was great to work with, and I appreciate all his help and knowledge.

More durable than JK and cheaper

these are tough (the leather is ticker than JK's) and are sold at a great price if you have your red card.

Best fire boots I have owned

It‚Äôs been close to a year since purchasing these boots from Nicks. Before this I had used Whites for years, but after one season in my Nicks I could easily tell the difference in quality. These boots are still in good shape and I‚Äôll easily get another fire season out of them before a resole. They are also the comfiest fire boots I‚Äôve used, there wasn‚Äôt much of a break in period. I guess I should also say that I work on a WFM handcrew and did a lot of hiking and working in these boots, and they stood up to the test of a 1000 hour OT season.
