The relief cut and bison leather made break in super easy. I treated my pair with Obenauf's LP right out of the box. and have worn them every workday since. Quality is excellent. Definitely not my last pair of Nicks.

Ive wore loggers most of my life and wore out all the brands but these boots will humble you during break in. I work with steel on concrete all day and im only maybe 50hrs into break in and ive limped into the door a couple days now trying to just power through the break in. If i had to do over again i would go a size wider, the seam where the meets the insole is almost bruising my heal at times and the extended heel counter seam on right boot on the outside is feels like a ball peen hammer hitting the side of my foot after 10hr days. But for some reason i love them they're tough and hopefully they hold up the way they claim so all pain is worth it. If i had 1 recommendation for nicks, the new style of tongue makes it almost two person job to get the boots on and off, i think if the old style allowed more room then id much perfer it. If youre reading this looking into buy a pair of these boots and you actually work all day them, just do the custom sizing instead of quick ship, boots at this price point are an investment dont be impatient and do it right. These boots will test your metal especially with max support leather and redX soles and steel toe.

Solid, supportive, and stylish! They fit great and are a pleasure to wear.

Excellent quality and workmanship. At first I wasn't a big fan of the padded gusset that the HD provides but it has grown on me. These boots have been surprisingly comfortable despite not being broken in yet. The arch support is great as well.

Got the widest size but need a size wider

These boots were exactly what I expected them to be based on all of my research. They are far superior to any boot I have ever owned or known about in my 45 years of work. They are not near as stiff and difficult to break in as some people cry about. Using Nick's sizing instructions they arrived and fit perfectly. I've shown these boots too many other people and they cannot believe the quality based on the crap that is sold these days. Especially older people who see them talk about that's the way boots used to be made. Now I'm interested in some of their other boots and will probably purchase some later this year. Very heavy duty. Still breaking them in after 40 hours but i can see these lasting more than a couple years before a resole.

These boots aee fantastic! I've only been able to wear them a little, but so far theyre super comfortable and im able to wear them all day without any foot pain! The only issue im having right now is that I have overpronation and I was told by a friend who also has it that the last I got would provide enough support for my ankles so I didn't have to put inserts in them. What ive found is that my ankles are still rolling inward and im afraid the boots will break in like that. Not sure if there something else I can do, ive already ordered them in the correct size and didnt account for needing inserts in them. But other than that, stop thinking about it and just buy the boots

builder pro hd bison brown, no break in, fit perfect half size down from other boot makers. therman 55 last feels good on the feet all day

the 1964 leather is holding up really well after 2 years and I would have ordered it again on my next pair if it was still available

These boots are a dream come true! After inspecting the boots, I didn't see any flaws/ differences between the two like I saw with previous posts on Reddit. I can't go back to any other boot brand. Life long customer from here on out.

First pair of the HD model, and I love the extra features like the thicker tongue and the relief cut. This is also my first pair of T55, which feel (and look) strange at first but for work on rough terrain, the extra space is nice!

This is my second pair of builder pro boots. I chose the same length and with as my 1st pair but went with the Thurman 55 last this time vs plain 55 with my first pair.

The wider toe box of the Thurman 55 made these boots more comfortable right out the box. With my first pair I experienced significant toe pain after a few hours of active wear. With these I had virtually no big toe pain. Break in took about 180 hours of daily wear Monday-Friday.

The quality of stitching, finish, and craftsmanship was on par with that is expected from Nicks. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a pair of boots that is more robust and solid than anything commercially available.
