These are by far the most comfortable boots I have very worn. The attention to detail and how the classic arch works with your body is a game changer. I feel like it fixed my posture and I finally have boots that don’t feel like a burden on my feet. Also I have never had that many people comment positively about my footwear.

staff was very friendly when i went into store to order. measument process wasn’t as in depth as I had expected, as it was more of a try on different boots and see what works. this would have been ok but they didn’t have a lot of high top boots in different sizes to actually try on and trying to gauge fitment while wearing a low top boot didn’t feel very accurate. fortunately the size i ended up ordering does fit well and i was very impressed with the build quality. the leather thickness and durability is leagues above what Whites uses. I also have not been struggling with top boot bite with these boots. I ordered in July and they were made in about 5 weeks. the stitching is very heavy duty. Honestly couldn’t be happier with these boots!
I went with a lighter tan color aswell and after oiling it has turned into a nice brown.

These are the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned. They have earned me several compliments from my fellow firefighters, and they are very well made.

Incredible boot. Takes a little breaking in, but I’m about a month into it and they’re already markedly better.

Fantastic boot! Fit is great. My only complaint is that the edge dressing washes off from simply walking through wet grass, but that's easily remedied.

Have had the boots for a little over a month. Completed the first roll with them. I have issues with my IT band locking up with normal tennis shoes or hikers. During the whole roll, I never had any pain or tightness. Great boots, worth every penny.

I'm absolutely loving them, I thought they'd be harder to break in but a month in now they are perfectly molded and broken in. Thats been my experience with them so far.

Wait no more, get the boots. Just get the boots!

An awesome pair of boots! They have had no problems during breaking them in and they feel very nicely made. I would definitely recommend them!

Absolutely amazing boots! they were stiff and are super comfy! I goofed and am not entirely sure that I sized down a 1/2 size like I was supposed to but I threw in a cheap insole and they fit like an absolute dream!! I can't recommend them enough! now if only they could cost less.... lol I kid, they are built amazing!

I bought these for my first fire season. The whole fitting and order process was easy. The team in the store are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I had them in about two months. They are breaking in well and I am impressed with the quality every time I put them on. They are worth every dollar.

Haven’t had them for very long (3 weeks worn everyday) but very short break in period, no white-bite, solid construction. PT hike anpproved. Already planning my next pair. I can’t say how long they will hold up during summer fire season but I am confident they will be worth it. Shrunken Bison with the Red X Lug is the way to go

I purchased a pair of Hotshots last summer. I have worn them almost exclusively over the past year in many different environments while working as a wildland firefighter. My first pair has held up very well. I just purchased another pair in order to have a backup for the time I have to send in my first pair for a re-sole.



I would like to add that Nick's customer service is second to none. I have called them several times throughout the ordering process of both pair. When I ordered the second pair, I worked through the order with Nash. He was great to work with, and I appreciate all his help and knowledge.

these are tough (the leather is ticker than JK's) and are sold at a great price if you have your red card.

It’s been close to a year since purchasing these boots from Nicks. Before this I had used Whites for years, but after one season in my Nicks I could easily tell the difference in quality. These boots are still in good shape and I’ll easily get another fire season out of them before a resole. They are also the comfiest fire boots I’ve used, there wasn’t much of a break in period. I guess I should also say that I work on a WFM handcrew and did a lot of hiking and working in these boots, and they stood up to the test of a 1000 hour OT season.
