I second everything said in the other reviews before mine. Couldn't be happier. I've owned by boots for 18 months now and love them. The most surprising thing to me was the break-in period. I was determined to break them in quickly, but after the second night of walking the dog, they were very comfortable and only got better with time and wear.



The heel is noticeable when you first put them on, but when you go to put on flatter boots your feet will sigh in a slightly negative tone. I wear a size 10 in Red Wings and got the same size in these and it was perfect. Now I'm back on this site looking to buy another pair.

I have been wearing these almost daily for a year now. I rarely wear anything other than boots. I have tried many different brands, including some of the competition located near Nick's in Spokane. These are by far the best boots I have worn. The fit is great (I was measured by a local cobbler where I placed the order for these boots). Based on those measurements I dropped half a size and went one size wider. My "normal" size is 10D. We ordered the 9.5E and the fit is great. After a long wait, well worth it, I received my new Robert boots in December 2022. I wasn't able to wear them much for the first couple months due to snow on the ground and cold temperatures here in Montana. I didn't want to break them in during cold weather like that. There is a break-in period with these, but once they are, they are extremely comfortable. These boots look nice enough to wear to the office, are tough enough to hold up outdoors, and keep your feet comfortable standing on concrete for hours on end. Don't let the price discourage you. These are worth every penny, and when you wear out the soles, those can be replaced. Look at these as a lifetime investment. My only, albeit very minor, gripe is the heritage sole on these. The soles don't have much for traction, especially when wet. This is okay for the office or dry concrete. Be cautious on the slick stuff or if you wear these riding a motorcycle. There not as bad as leather soled boots, but certainly not a lug sole. There's an easy fix for that though. I liked these boots so much, that I am writing this review right after I clicked the order button for another pair. This time I went with their Shrunken Bison - Work - Build Your Own and I expect them to be every bit as good as this Robert boot has been for me.

Look, I have a lot of boots. I've owned a few pairs of White's and multiple pairs of Red Wings. With great boots to be honest. That being said? My first pair of Nick's were a Robert in Brown Waxed Flesh. Not only were they the most durable and robust boots I'd ever wore? The finishing was nearly flawless. Much more refined than the whites and every but as durable if not more so. Plus they were beautiful. I went on to get a pair of Falcons in Tan Waxed Flesh and I love those too. If you're looking for the best boot money can buy? Go with Nicks.

I have come to properly constructed footwear late in life, but these beauties take properly constructed to a new level. And they fit, too. Worth the money, worth the wait, just gorgeous. And did I mention the smell? Yum.

This boot is the real deal. I bought it to last the rest of my life, and I have no doubts it will. I use mine in where half the day is spent in the office, and the other is spent outdoors. I'm not hesitant to do real work in them, while also feel confident in the office that I'm not wearing workbooks in a business casual setting. Definitely recommend!
