Details

Obenauf’s Heavy Duty LP (Leather Preservative) Grease is the most durable protection available. Originally developed for the severe conditions endured by wildland firefighters, LP protects, preserves, and restores boots, saddles, motorcycle leathers, tool pouches, baseball gloves, and more. It provides industrial strength protection for leather that gets exposed to harsh environments. Made in USA Three natural oils are suspended in Beeswax and Propolis. In the leather these oils gradually seep out of the Beeswax/Propolis* Suspension Formula. If exposed to heat or flexing the oils are released faster so leather gets oiled when and where it needs it most instead of parched and cracked. This Beeswax/Propolis* Suspension Formula provides a time release lubrication to inner fibers while the surface is reinforced against scuffing and abrasions while the leather still breathes. *Propolis is an antibacterial resin from trees that resists bacteria and mold. It is a barrier against body acids, salt, and caustic chemicals. Combined with beeswax it will repel water better and longer.

Great for Predator Orange Leather!

I just recently received some of this stuff with my new pair of Overlanders in the predator orange leather.

I just did a little test on a spare pair of matching false tongues, and where the neatsfoot oil blend conditioner I normally use turned one tongue to a more reddish brown and added a lot of shine, the leather grease took the other tongue right back to its original dark brown color and added almost no shine, just the way they were when I got them originally!

If you're looking to keep your boots conditioned, in the original color, without adding much shine for a more matte look, this leather grease is the stuff to get!

And it doesn't take much, either, so the $22.95 pricetag isn't so bad considering a single container ought to last quite a while.

Proven effectiveness

I've worn these Nick's Urban Loggers for 3 1/2 years, much of the time on my trails which are largely through wetlands as well as in the garden and cutting down trees for logs. I've used this product exclusively and my feet stay dry, and the leather shows no sign of water damage. I just brushed them with a heavy brush, rubbed in this product, and brushed with a horsehair brush. They look great and I know they're protected.

Awesome stuff !

I've tried both the oil and the greese my opinion get the greese ! I take my thumb rub some greese rub it onto the shoe and it soaks in immediately with a nice shine (leather type pending). If you want speed get the oil (darkens leather more). If you want a lasting leather conditioner that don't drastically change the color get the greese ! Also when it was raining all week the boots naturally had to get wet... the sole taking the brunt of it ! I figured i would apply the oil for fast easy absorption. To my suprise it didnt absorb well into the sole ,however on the flip side the greese had no problem with penitration. So I don't mind spending the extra time conditioning my Becca boots with the greese its highly effective !

Simply works

This stuff is so much better than the mink oil people around here have been telling me to use. Set my son's boots out side to warm up while I was applying to a knife sheath. Brought the boots in and started with the sole and bottom of the boot and went right in leather was softer by the time I finished the boot.
